The fourteenth International Conference on Urban Transport and the Environment in the 21st Century is calling for oral papers to be presented at the event.

Target audience

The conference will be held in Malta from 1st to 3rd September. It targets those involved with the planning and management of urban transport systems around the world. Delegates will include engineers, scientists and managers from industries, universities, research institutes and government organisations.

Aim

Conference Secretariat Rachel Creasey says, "The aim is to provide an update on the latest advances in the urban transport field, giving speakers the opportunity to present research in a specialist forum and collaborate with experts from across the globe on the planning of sustainable urban transport."

The international advisory committee overseeing the event includes representatives from the universities of Aristotle (Greece), Split (Croatia), Salerno (Italy), Morgan State (USA) and Pretoria (South Africa), as well as panellists from major corporations, such as Germany’s Daimler AG and Latvia's Transport and Telecommunication Institute.

The conference was organised by the Wessex Institute of Technology (WIT).
